Marlies Emmelot has been teaching for 6 years and this is her second year at Tollgate. She has taught 2nd and 3rd grade and is excited to step into a new role with the Autism program. Ms. Emmelot grew up in Illinois and moved to Colorado 6 years ago. She loves to read, paint, and spend time outside with friends.

I love working with children and spending time with my family. As a hobby, I walk my pet, Mochi, every day and cook for my children and husband. On weekends, I go outdoors and enjoy the Colorado scenery and water my plants.

Corrine Schmaedke

Corrine grew up in Minnesota and attended university in California. She spent last year traveling through New Zealand and working on organic farms. She loves going to school and working in schools because learning in community brings her joy. Outside of school, Corrine loves to watch the Minnesota Timberwolves and spend time outside with her foster dog, Livi.
